American Specialty Health

 

     Most insurance companies will not pay massage therapists for performing massage.  But there is one option for those with health care insurance.  Some companies, like Independence Blue Cross and Aetna have a plan available called Choose Health Affinity program.  

     It is run by Amercican Specialty Health (ASH).  Individuals and families with this type of insurance can receive a massage, at a frequency of their choosing, at a reduced cost.  The co-pay is $45 for a one-hour massage.  At this price, staying healthy and happy is quite simple and fits into most budgets.  

     The plan also allows for massage with a shorter duration.  This will allow for specific work in a give area.  The time can be broken up into 15 minute intervals, ie. 15, 30 or 45 minutes, with a cost of $11.25 for each 15 minute increment.

     Simply come in and show us your ASH card, pay the co-pay, and enjoy your massage!

Flexible Spending Accounts

                         Time is running out!!!!!

     It is getting close to the end of the year and if you don't spend the money in your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) you lose it!  Don't let this money go to anyone besides yourself!  

     Massage may be covered by your FSA, please contact your plan to verify coverage and cost reimbursement.  Some plans may require a doctor's note, which must include a diagnosis and a diagnosis code.  A receipt will be emailed or mailed to your home for you to submit for reimbursement.
