This video describes the science behind our emotions causing physical problems:

What Is The Emotional Freedom Technique?

Emotional Freedom Technique is based on the fact that our physical problems are caused by our negative emotions like hatred, anger, sadness grief, etc.  Our healthy state is dependent upon our positive emotions like happiness, loving attitude, forgiving, etc.

4000 years ago the Chinese understood how energy travels through the body and mapped out pathways, which are called meridians, to help determine the cause of physical problems.  After many years western medicine had 'forgotten' these principles because of scientific discoveries. Men had learned about the body by dissecting cadavers and studying the organs and how they worked, which progressed to the diagnostic testing we have today.

Here's how it works:

You have a negative emotion or thought, like fear, pop into your mind.  That thought is a sensory stimulus to the brain, an action, in which the brain then interprets the stimulus and comes up with an equal and opposite reaction.  The motor nerves, which carry nerve impulses to react to the emotion, travels to one of two possible places, either the muscles or glands.  The muscles will get a signal to contract and tighten, which may cause pain.  The glands release hormones, chemicals into the blood which can have a destructive effect on your body.  Depending on exactly what the emotion is and what it refers to depends on where it shows up in your body.

For example, if your ankle hurts the emotion that resides there is "a fear of taking the next step, moving into the future or how am I going to go through life with or without a particular person." Want to know the gender of that person?  If it is the left ankle it refers to a woman; if it is the right ankle, it refers to a man.

I can read your body in about 2 minutes and would be able to tell you your emotional life story. Identifying the emotion is an important step into recovery and regaining your health.  Schedule an appointment to have your body read!

From the Founder of EFT

Based on the ancient principles of acupuncture, EFT is a simple tapping procedure that gently realigns the body's energy system, without the discomfort of needles. Unlike other energy healing methods, EFT incorporates an emotional element to the healing process, addressing unresolved emotional issues as a likely cause of physical disease, psychological dysfunction, and personal performance limits.

Negative emotional experiences disrupt the energy meridians that run through our body. The physical changes we feel from those disruptions, like nausea or anxiety, become attached to the memory of that experience and affect the way we see the world.until we heal that disruption. Properly applied, EFT quickly realigns the energy meridians with respect to negative memories, disconnects the physical discomfort that we attached to it, and quite often removes the resulting symptoms.

Some cases are more complex, however, and may require more detailed attention from an experienced EFT Practitioner.

Extensive application of EFT has shown impressive improvements in a wide variety of issues, including: Anger Management, Depression, Insomnia, Severe Trauma (PTSD), Addictions, Sexual Abuse, Phobias, Allergies, Migraines, Pain Management, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, Hypertension, Fibromyalgia, Cancer, Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson's Disease, and Cystic Fibrosis.

Foundation of EFT

EFT was introduced in 1995 by Gary Craig, a Stanford Engineering graduate in lifelong pursuit of personal well-being.

"I have been intensely interested in personal improvement via psychology since my age 13. That was when I recognized that the quality of my thoughts was mirrored in the quality of my life. Since then I have been self taught in this field, seeking only those procedures that, in my opinion, produced results. EFT is my latest finding, the core of which I learned from Dr. Roger Callahan. I also have high regard for Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) in which I am a Certified Master Practitioner."

Gary Craig is neither a psychologist nor a licensed therapist. He is an ordained minister through the Universal Church of God in Southern California, which is non-denominational and embraces all religions. He is a dedicated student of A Course in Miracles, and approaches his work with a decidedly spiritual perspective. However, there is no specific spiritual teaching connected to EFT or its Practitioners.

I’ve been doing energy healing work since 1991 and my jaw still drops at the results. I’ve lost count of the number of phobias, panic/anxiety attacks, traumatic memories, guilt, grief and physical ailments that have been elegantly relieved (often in minutes) by this procedure. Even though EFT violates just about every conventional belief out there, the results remain remarkable. EFT isn’t perfect, of course. We don’t get 100%. But it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. It often works where nothing else will.
